Laura T. Leslie, 96, of White Township, NJ, formerly of Chatham, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township, NJ.
Born on November 8, 1913 in Haddonfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William Grasselle Taylor, Jr. and Louisa Levy Taylor.
Mrs. Leslie was a social studies teacher at the Chatham Township Middle School, Chatham Twp., NJ, for many years before retiring.
Mrs. Leslie was a Past Matron, Delaware Chapter #50, Order of the Eastern Star; a Past Royal Matron, Arbor Vitae Court #40, Order of the Amaranth; a Past Queen, Al Haram Temple #130, Daughters of the Nile; a Past Worthy High Priestess, Areme Shrine #3, White Shrine; and a member of The Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America.
Mrs. Leslie was predeceased by her husband Malcolm A.F. Leslie, Sr.
Surviving are a son, Malcolm A.F. (Skip) Leslie, Jr. and his wife Ellen of White Township, NJ; grandchildren, M. Kirk Leslie and his wife Heather of
Castle Rock, CO, Jonathan C. Leslie and his wife Alyson Smith of Englewood, CO, and Matthew T. Leslie; two great-grandchildren, Leah Graffin and Brayden
Leslie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in Laura's memory to the agency of your choice to benefit the Haiti Relief efforts.
