Jane Tressler Moore, 90, a resident since 2006 of Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township, NJ, formerly of South Plainfield, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Warren Haven.
Born on June 28, 1919 in Abington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Bechtel Landis and Blanche Tressler Landis.
Mrs. Moore was a 1937 graduate of Philadelphia High School for Girls. She graduated from Pierce Business College in Philadelphia, PA . She worked in Philadelphia for over seven years as a stenographer.
Mrs. Moore had a passion for singing, studied voice and became a paid soprano soloist. She had especially enjoyed singing in various churches.
Mrs. Moore was a 57 year member of the Covenant United Methodist Church, Plainfield, NJ.
While at Warren Haven, she enjoyed all the people and activities, especially all the visiting animals. Cheerful and helpful, she made many friends there.
Mrs. Moore was recently predeceased by her husband of 63 years, George Linwood Moore who died on April 22, 2009.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda J. Krychowecky and Christine A. Howard; a son, Alan C. Moore; four grandchildren, Janet S. Wheeler, Kathleen A. Brooke, Jennifer L. and Michael A. Krychowecky; three great-grandchildren, Matthew R. and Eric P. Wheeler and Madeleine Jane Krychowecky.
